CHAPTER 533
(Senate Bill 239)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 42 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1958 Supplement),
title "Elections", sub-title "Removals from Precinct or District",
relating to the form of and procedure for cancellation of registra-
tion by voters, and relating generally to elections in the State.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 42 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1958 Supplement), title "Elections", sub-title "Removals from Pre-
cinct or District", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

42.

Where any voter has removed from the county or Baltimore City
in which he is registered to vote to another county or Baltimore City
he shall apply to the board of said county or Baltimore City to which
he has removed, for registration. He shall be registered in the manner
provided in this article, and shall state the fact of his removal from
such other county or Baltimore City. The voter shall sign and
acknowledge before a person duly authorized to administer oaths,
including employees of the board of supervisors authorized by the
board to do so, an authorization to cancel his previous registration
on a form substantially as follows:

the State of Maryland, in the County of................................................, Election

District.............................., Precinct.............................., or Baltimore City, Ward

..........................., Precinct............................My I WAS REGISTERED THERE-

GIVEN HERE MUST BE THE ONE UNDER WHICH VOTER
