due. This section shall be effective only in Baltimore, Harford,
Frederick, Washington and Talbot counties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 58
(House Bill 61)
AN ACT to add new Section 216A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title
"County Commissioners", to follow immediately after Section 216
thereof, relating to secretarial assistance for the Delegates in the
General Assembly from Harford County, and relating generally
thereto.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 216A be and it is hereby added to the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Harford County (1957 Edition, being Article 13
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford Coun-
ty", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after
Section 216 thereof, and to read as follows:
216A. The County Commissioners of Harford County are auth-
orized to furnish secretarial services for the members of the House
of Delegates of Maryland representing Harford County, as AT such
compensation as the Commissioners shall determine.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by
a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
