tion of said salary to be paid by the State shall be limited to the
amount prescribed in the schedule set forth in Section 237 of this
Article. Baltimore County shall be authorized and directed to levy
and pay senior assessors of Baltimore County an annual salary rang-
ing from $5,500.00 to $6,500.00 per year, receiving one-fifth of the
differential at the end of each of the first five years of service; pro-
vided, however, that service of senior assessors as such prior to
June SO, 1959 be taken into consideration for such purposes and
provided further that the portion of said salary to be paid by the
State shall be limited to the amount provided in the schedule set
forth in Section 237 of this Article. Baltimore County shall be
authorized and directed to levy and pay to the assessors' aides of
Baltimore County a salary ranging from $4,500.00 to $5,000.00 per
year, receiving one-half of the differential at the end of each of the
first two years of service, provided, however, that service of assessors'
aides as such prior to June 30, 1959 be taken into consideration for
such purposes and provided further that the portion of said salary to
be paid by the State shall be limited to the amount provided in the
schedule set forth in Section 237 of this Article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

(House Bill 705)
AN ACT to add new Section 59B to Article 19 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County",
sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow immediately after
Section 59A thereof, which Section 59A was enacted by Chapter
108 of the Acts of 1955, to provide for establishment and opera-
tion by the County Commissioners of a central communications
facility for St. Mary's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 59B be and it is hereby added to Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County", sub-title "County Commissioners", to follow im-
mediately after Section 59A thereof, which section 59A was enacted
by Chapter 108 of the Acts of 1955, and to read as follows:
59B.
(a) The County Commissioners of St. Mary's County are hereby
authorized and directed to provide for the maintenance, operation
and supervision of a central communications facility for St. Mary's
