Provided that in Cecil County said fees shall be immediately for-
warded by the Sheriff to the County Commissioners- AND IN
MONTGOMERY COUNTY SAID FEES SHALL BE IMMEDI-
ATELY FORWARDED BY THE SHERIFF TO THE COUNTY
COUNCIL.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 515
(House Bill 404)
AN ACT to add new Section 196A to Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), making it a crime to hunt deer
at night-time and providing penalties for the violation of this
section.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 196A be and it is hereby added to Article 66C of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), to read as follows:
196A. It is unlawful to hunt deer at night-time. The words
"night-time" shall be construed to mean the time beginning with
sunset until sunrise the following day, the time stated by the
calendar of hour of sunrise and sunset. The provisions of this sec-
tion shall not apply to Montgomery County.
Any person violating this section shall be fined not less than
two hundred dollars ($200.00) nor more than three FIVE hundred
dollars ($300.00) ($500.00) and costs for each and every offense and
shall MAY receive a fifteen day jail sentence for the first offense,
and SHALL RECEIVE a thirty day jail sentence for any subsequent
offense. Any person who fails to pay the fine so imposed shall stand
committed to jail until the fine and costs have been paid, but such
imprisonment for failing to pay the fine shall not exceed sixty days.
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO
MONTGOMERY COUNTY RELATING TO PENALTIES.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
