J. MILLARD TAWES, GOVERNOR                           643

Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition—being Article 1 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany Coun-
ty", sub-title "LaVale Sanitary Commission", said new section to
be known as Section No. 337A, to follow immediately after Section
No. 337 thereof, and to read as follows:

337A. The said Commission shall have the continuing power to
borrow a sum or sums of money not to exceed in the aggregate Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) at any one time, and to execute
promissory notes therefor, payable at some future definite time or
payable by installments; and the said Commission is hereby author-
ized and empowered to repay said loans out of any money lawfully
coming into its possession and not specifically marked for a special
fund or funds.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

Approved April 8, 1959.

CHAPTER 502
(House Bill 768)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 95A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edi-
tion, being Article 1 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Allegany County", sub-title "County Treasurer", sub-head-
ing "County Tax Collectors" as said section was enacted by
Chapter 63 of 1957, providing for a deduction from assessment
for the purpose of county real estate taxes for certain persons in
Allegany County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 95A of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title "County Treasurer",
sub-heading "County Tax Collectors", as said section was enacted
by Chapter 63 of 1957, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

95A. Every person over sixty-five (65) years of age who has been
a bona fide resident of Allegany County for the preceding five (5)
years and whose total gross income is less than [$100.00 per month]
Twelve Hundred Dollars ($1200.00) per year from all sources and
who has [legal title or beneficial title] fee simple title or fee simple
title subject to mineral reservations
to real property located in Alle-
gany County and who presides thereon] has resided thereon for the
preceding five years
and makes the same his or her permanent home,
