of a fire tax now levied in the 17th (Chillum) Election District
of Prince George's County, and relating generally to fire com-
panies in the county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 652 (d-1) be and it is hereby added to the Code
of Public Local Laws of Prince George's' County (1953 Edition,
being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Fire Companies", said new
section to follow immediately after Section 652 (d) thereof, and to
read as follows:

652.

(d-1). From and after July 1, 1959, for each of two years, the
proceeds of the tax authorized by Section 652 (a) hereof shall be
payable and disbursed, as follows:

To the Chillum—Adelphi Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., seventy-
three and seventy-five/one hundredths (73.75) per cent;

To the Mt. Rainier Volunteer Fire Department eight and seventy-
five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent;

To the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department, eight and seventy-
five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent; and,

To the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., eight and
seventy-five/one hundredths (8.75) per cent.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

(House Bill 722)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4(a) of
Article 70B of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Commission
on the Aging", as said Section was enacted by Chapter 1, Acts
of 1959, to provide that the Commission on the Aging or the
Executive Director thereof is authorized to accept and use Federal
funds available for problems relating to the aged; and said Com-
mission is authorized to conduct and participate in State or Federal
conferences on aging.
