each term, to be paid by the counties, respectively, in which courts
are held. [Jurors in Baltimore City shall receive such compensation
as shall be provided in the ordinance of estimates of said city each
year.] In Baltimore County, jurors shall receive per diem com-
pensation in such amounts as shall be set, from time to time, by the
judges of the Circuit Court of Baltimore County. Jurors in Fred-
erick County shall receive at least eight dollars per day for each
and every day they shall attend the Circuit Court of Frederick
County as jurors and a reasonable amount, in the discretion of the
County Commissioners, for each mile going to and returning from
the court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 487
(House Bill 662)
AN ACT to repeal Section 436 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Harford County (1957 Edition—being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title
"Racing", to repeal the requirement that Harford County pay
certain racing monies received from the Racing Commission to the
Harford County Fair Association.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 436 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford County
(1957 Edition—being Article 13 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Harford County", sub-title "Racing", be and it
is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
