(House Bill 375)

AN ACT to add new Section 282A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's
County", subtitle "Circuit Court", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 282 thereof, authorizing and directing the County Commis-
sioners of Prince George's County to supplement the annual salary
of the Judges of the Circuit Court for the Seventh Judicial Circuit
of Maryland who reside in Prince George's County, and to supple-
ment the annual salary of certain Judges of the Circuit Court for
the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Maryland who are nonresidents of
Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 282A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953 Edition, being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Prince George's County", subtitle "Circuit Court", to follow imme-
diately after Section 282 thereof, and to read as follows:

282A. The County Commissioners of Prince George's County are
hereby authorized and directed to pay to each of the Judges of the
Circuit Court for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Maryland who reside
in Prince George's County the sum of Forty-Five Hundred Dollars
($4,500.00) annually in addition to the salary received by each of
said judges from the State of Maryland, and to pay to each of the
Judges of the Circuit Court for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Mary-
land who are nonresidents of Prince George's County and who sit
in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County UPON THE RE-
QUEST OF THE RESIDENT JUDGES OF PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY the sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars
($2,250.00) annually in addition to the salary received by each of
said Judges from the State of Maryland, said payments to be made
from and after June 1, 1959 in equal monthly installments, and the
said County Commissioners are hereby authorized and directed to
levy upon the assessable property of the said county a tax sufficient
to pay the aforesaid amounts.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
