Liquor Licenses"; and to add new Sections 19(1-1), 20(m-1),
60(h-l) and 105A to said Article, subtitles respectively, "Beer,
Wine and Liquor Licenses", "Procedure for Issue of Licenses", and
"Hours and Days for Sale", said new sections to follow respectively
after Sections 19(1), 20 (m), 60 (h) and 105 in said Article and
subtitles, providing in Wicomico County for Beer, Wine and Liquor
licenses for certain hotels and restaurants and for certain clubs,
relating generally to the requirements, conditions and procedure
for the issue of such licenses in Wicomico County, and generally
amending the alcoholic beverage laws of Wicomico County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 19 (n) and 20(n) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title
"Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", be and they are hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments!; and that new Sections 19(1-1),
20(m-1), 60(h-l) and 105A be and they are hereby added to said
Article, to be, respectively, under the subtitles "Beer, Wine and
Liquor Licenses", "Procedure for Issue of Licenses", and "Hours and
Days for Sale", to follow, respectively, after Sections 19(1), 20 (m),
60(h) and 105 in said Article, and all to read as follows:

19.

(l-1) Wicomico County.(1) In Wicomico County the annual
fee for such a license shall be fifteen hundred dollars ($1500). for a
restaurant and two thousand dollars ($2000) for a hotel.

(2) Such a license may be issued in Wicomico County to a bona
fide hotel which (i) is an establishment for the accommodation of
the public providing services ordinarily found in hotels, (ii) is
equipped with not fewer than twenty-five rooms, a lobby with regis-
tration and mail desk and seating facilities and a dining room with
facilities for preparing and serving regular meals.
WHICH SERVES
FULL COURSE MEALS AT LEAST TWICE DAILY. This license
in a hotel does not permit sales at bars or counters, nor for consump-
tion off the premises.

(3) Such a license may be issued in Wicomico County to a res-
taurant which meets the following requirements and conditions: (i)
serves full course meals at least twice daily; (ii) has a regular seat-
ing capacity at tables (not including seats at bars or counters)
for seventy-five or more persons; (iii) has been in full time oper-
ation as a restaurant for not less than two years at
IMMEDIATELY
PRECEDING the time application is made for a license; (iv) serves
alcoholic beverages only during or in connection with meals, with
patrons seated at tables and not at bars or counters; (v) has had
daily average receipts from the sale of food in excess of those for the
sale of alcoholic beverages, during the twelve-month period immedi-
ately preceding the application for a license; (vi) has an applicant or
applicants for the license who has or have been a bona-fide resident or
residents of Wicomico County for not less than five years immediately
preceding the filing of the application, and who has or have been a
registered voter or voters of Wicomico County for not less than one
year immediately preceding the filing of the application. This license
in a restaurant does not permit sales at bars or counters, nor for con-
sumption anywhere except inside the building in which meals are
prepared and served.
