School in Frostburg, Maryland, with macadam , AND AUTHOR-
IZING AND DIRECTING THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY TO MAKE THE NECES-
SARY APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR.

Whereas, many complaints have been received over the years con-
cerning the deplorable condition of the playground on the school
property at the Beall Elementary School in Frostburg, Allegany
County; and

Whereas, many of the school children have been made to suffer
because of the deep ruts, mud and generally poor condition of the
surface of the area, after covering the clothing of the children with
mud before entering school; and

Whereas, macadam has been used successfully at other school
locations to correct similar playground conditions; now therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of Education of Allegany County is authorized and
directed to provide a macadam, or "black top" surfacing for the
playground on the school property at Beall Elementary School in
Frostburg, Maryland, being at the west end of the school property
nearest to Park Avenue, to be completed on or before ninety days
from the effective date of this Act. THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF ALLEGANY COUNTY IS AUTHORIZED
AND DIRECTED TO APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS NECESSARY
FOR THIS PROJECT.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 415
(Senate Bill 493)

AN ACT to add new Section 19 (m) (1) to Article 2B of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bever-
ages", sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", to follow imme-
diately after Section 19 (m) thereof, providing for the issuance
of beer, wine, and liquor licenses to hotels and restaurants in
Worcester County outside the corporate limits of Ocean City, and
relating generally to alcoholic beverages in Worcester County.

Whereas, In view of the provisions of Section 19, sub-sections (a)
and (n) of this Code, it seems that it was the intent of the Legisla-
ture to provide for the issuance of Class B beer, wine and liquor
licenses in Worcester County outside of the corporate limits of the
Town of Ocean City; and
