same is hereby transferred and recodified in the Code, the same to
become Section 563A of Article 27 thereof, title "Crime® and Punish-
ments", to follow immediately after Section 563 of said Article 27
and to be under the new sub-title "Tourist Information".
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 36
100 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edi-
tion), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub titles SUB-TITLE "Local
Licenses and License Provisions", and "Hours and Days for Sale",
relating to alcoholic beverage licenses for race tracks in Howard
County and the hours of sale of alcoholic beverages at race tracks
in Howard County; and relating generally to alcoholic beverages
in Howard County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 36 and 100 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub titles
SUB-TITLE "Local Licenses and License Provisions", and "Hours
and Days for Sale", be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
36. Howard County—Race track license.
(1) Generally.—In Howard County the owner or owners of any
regularly licensed racing establishment, whether individual, associ-
ation of individuals, or a corporation, shall be entitled to procure a
license for the sale of any and all alcoholic beverages within the
confines of its racing park in said county.
(2) Annual license fee; selling at one or more locations.—The
cost for such license shall be [$750.00] $1,000.00 each calendar year,
payable to the clerk of the Circuit Court for Howard County, and
shall entitle the holder to sell at one or more locations within its
said park.
(3) Applicable laws, rules and regulations.—Such licenses and
the licensees thereunder shall be subject to all laws, rules and regula-
tions applicable in Howard County to the sale of alcoholic beverages,
not inconsistent with the provisions of this section.
