thousand dollars ($3,000.00) for clerical hire, rental expenses and
general office expenses, to be paid on the submission of vouchers
therefor to, and after approval by, the County Commissioners; and
beginning for the year 1955 and for each year thereafter he also
shall receive the sum of $2,000 as a special fund to be applied to the
costs of making investigations, and expenditures from this allowance
shall be accounted for to the Board of County Commissioners at the
end of each year with any balance remaining at end of the fiscal
year reverting to the general funds of the county.
(d-1) The State's Attorney of Kent County shall receive an annual
salary of four thousand dollars ($4,000.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of this Act
shall not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the State's
Attorney in office on the effective date of this Act, but shall take
effect with the next term of office.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

(Senate Bill 357)
AN ACT to add a new Section 155 (v) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "Boards of License Commissioners'', to follow immediately
after Section 155 (u) thereof, providing for the compensation of
the members of the Board of License Commissioners of Wicomico
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 155 (v) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners", to follow
immediately after Section 155 (u) thereof, and to read as follows:
155(v). Wicomico County. In Wicomico County, the Chairman
of the Board of License Commissioners shall receive as compensation,
the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per year. Each of the
other two members shall receive as compensation, the sum of Three
FOUR Hundred Dollars ($300.00) ($400.00) per year.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
