dollars; to travel with a horse or other beast of burden and wagon
or other vehicle, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars; with two
horses or other beast of burden and wagon or other vehicle, the sum
of two hundred dollars; and with a motor truck or motor vehicle of
any description whatsoever, the sum of three hundred dollars. Pro-
vided that the license to travel with a motor truck or motor vehicle
of any description shall be one hundred dollars for residents of Gar-
rett County. The Clerk shall supply the licensee in the case of a
horse and wagon or motor truck or motor vehicle, in addition to the
license herein mentioned, with a metal tag or stamp to be attached
to the vehicle and to be clearly visible. In the case of a foot peddler,
he shall have in his possession at all times the said license issued by
the Clerk and display the same upon demand of any uniformed officer
of the law.
This section not to apply to Anne Arundel, Prince
George's, Baltimore nor Cecil Counties.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
May 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 351
(House Bill 444)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 64 of
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Licenses", sub-title "Traders", eliminating the requirement
of metal tag or stamp where cigarettes are sold by vending ma-
chines, and requiring that license be issued in name of owner of
machines and displayed on premises where located, and show
address thereof.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 64 of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Licenses", sub-title "Traders", be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

64. Upon such application, the said clerk shall demand and receive
from said applicant the sum of twenty-five dollars before granting
said license, and in all cases the said trader shall post the said license
in a conspicuous place in his place of business; and in the event the
sale of cigarettes is made through vending machines, the clerk shall
[supply the licensee, in addition to the license herein mentioned, with
a metal tag or stamp, to be affixed to the vending machines in ac-
cordance with regulations of the State Comptroller] issue the
license in the name of the owner of the machines, who shall display
said license on the premises where the machines are located. The
license must show the address of the premises where the machines
