rated, and to make the same evidence of the Public Local Laws and
Charter of Baltimore County purporting to be contained therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Baltimore County Code (1958 Edition), as published by the
Michie City Publications Company, Incorporated, be and the same
is hereby legalized, and shall be deemed and taken in all the Courts
of this State and by all Public Officials to be evidence of the Public
Local Laws and Charter of Baltimore County purporting to be con-
tained therein.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 267
(House Bill 890)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 2 of
Chapter 145 of the Acts of 1959, to amend the act reducing the
credit a vendor applies to sales and use tax collections as a collec-
tion expense, by changing the months for which taxes are collected
and paid over by the vendor subject to the reduced credit.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 2 of Chapter 145 of the Acts of 1959, be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

2. That this Act is hereby declared to be an emergency measure
and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health
and safety, and having been passed by a yea and nay vote supported
by three-fifths of the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect on April 1, 1959.
It is the legislative intent that this Act thereby shall first take effect
as to taxes which are collected by the vendor during the calendar
month of [April] March, 1959, and which are due and payable by
the vendor during the month of [May] April, 1959.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate pres-
ervation of the public health and safety, and having been passed
by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 24, 1959.
