32                                Laws of Maryland                         Ch. 28

Whereas, In Section 196 of the Local Laws of Kent County (1930
Edition), there is a reference to the payment of fines to informers,
which payments now are prohibited under the provisions of Section 3
of Article 38 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition);
and

Whereas, It is desirable to remove these obsolete provisions from
the Local Laws of Kent County; now, therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 196 of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent County", sub-title "Foxes", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

196. Any person or persons violating the provisions of this [Act]
sub-title shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon convic-
tion thereof before a Justice of the Peace shall be fined in a sum not
less than Ten Dollars nor more than Twenty-five Dollars, [one-half
of] such fine [shall be paid to the informer causing the arrest and
conviction and the remaining one-half] shall be paid to the State
Game Department to be credited to the State Game Protection Fund
to be used as provided by law, and it shall be the duty of the several
Deputy State Game Wardens in Kent County to strictly enforce the
provisions of this [Act] sub-title.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 28
(Senate Bill 84)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 213 of
Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Kent County", sub-title " Jurors", removing there-
from an obsolete reference to the word "male" in the laws relat-
ing to the selection of jurors in Kent County.

Whereas, In Section 213 of the local laws of Kent County there
is a reference to the word "male" as comprising those persons eli-
gible for jury service; and

Whereas, This reference now is obsolete since jury service for
women has been provided in Kent County; now, therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 213 of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
