creasing the annual salary of the County Treasurer of Frederick
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51 (m) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County
Treasurers", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

51.

(m). Frederick County — The county treasurer of Frederick
County shall receive an annual salary of [$6500.00.] $8,500.00.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing contained herein
shall affect the salary of the County Treasurer of Frederick County
who may be in office at the time this Act becomes effective.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact Section 7 of Article 48A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Insurance",
sub-title "Insurance Department", relating to the compensation of
the Actuary for the State Insurance Department.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 7 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title "Insurance Department",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read as follows:

7. The Commissioner shall also appoint an Actuary for the Depart-
ment, who shall receive an annual compensation as fixed and pro-
vided by the budget, [and the fees provided by Section 44, to be
paid by the companies whose policies he shall value as required by
law, provided, however, that the total amount of such fees shall
not exceed Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($5,500.00) in
any one year.]

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
