of the Acts of 1900, authorizing the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Kent County to purchase or exchange a certain piece
of property in Kent County, and now being obsolete.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 244 of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent County", sub-title "Landings",
said section having been enacted by Chapter 60 of the Acts of 1900,
be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1 of
Chapter 697 of the Acts of the Regular Session of 1949, as amended
by Chapter 422 of the Acts of the Regular Session of 1951, re-
moving therefrom all reference to Kent County in certain laws
concerning the payment of pensions to' retired public school
teachers, said laws now being obsolete, as to Kent County.
Whereas, In Chapter 697 of the Acts of 1949, as amended by
Chapter 422 of the Acts of 1951, there are provisions concerning the
payment of supplementary pensions to certain retired public school
teachers in Kent County; and
Whereas, These provisions are obsolete and should be removed
since the subject now is covered in Section 118 (b) of Article 77 in
the 1957 Edition of the State Code; now, therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1 of Chapter 697 of the Acts of the Regular Session of
1949, as amended by Chapter 422 of the Acts of the Regular Session
of 1951, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and to read as follows:
1. The County Commissioners of Frederick [,] and Harford [and
Kent] Counties be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
pay to each teacher of said counties who has been retired on pension
and who receives less than $100.00 per month, an additional $25.00
per month, but in no event shall any payments be made to any teacher
which will make the payments more than $100.00 per month. The
County Commissioners of Frederick [,] and Harford [and Kent]
Counties are furthermore authorized and directed to levy a sufficient
sum each year to pay the increased pensions authorized by this Act.
