Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.

(House Bill 528)

AN ACT to repeal the sub-title "Crier and Messenger", and Sections
290 and 291 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's
County, (Everstine's 1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), and to re-enact Section 290 of
said Code, to authorize and empower the Judges of the Circuit
Court for Prince George's County to fix the compensation of offi-

cers appointed by them under the authority of the Constitution of
Maryland, and providing for the payment of such compensation
by the Clerk of said Court as a part of the expenses of the office,
or by the County Commissioners of Prince George's County, as the

said Court may prescribe and direct; and to substitute a new sub-
title, to be known as "Court Officers". AND TO REPEAL AND
RE-ENACT SECTION 290 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY (EVERSTINE'S 1953
EDITION BEING ARTICLE 17 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC
LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND) RELATING TO THE COM-
PENSATION OF COURT OFFICERS APPOINTED PURSUANT
TO ARTICLE 4, SECTION 9 OF THE CONSTITUTION; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF A PENSION TO CERTAIN
PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN EMPLOYED IN THE COURT
HOUSE IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sub-title "Crier and Messenger", and Sections 290 and 291

of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (Ever-

stine's 1959 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local

Laws of Maryland) be, and the same are hereby, repealed and a new

section to be known as Section 290 of said Code be, and is hereby,

enacted in lieu of said Section 290, and that a new sub-title be added

preceding the said Section, said sub title and new section to read as
follows: AND SECTION 290 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY (EVERSTINE'S 1953
EDITION BEING ARTICLE 17 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF MARYLAND) BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY RE-
PEALED AND RE-ENACTED WITH AMENDMENTS TO READ
AS FOLLOWS:
