amounts and for such purposes and programs as to conform as
closely as possible to the original intent in appropriating such monies
to the State Tax Commission. As of July 1, 1959, every person who
was serving as an officer or employee of the State Tax Commission
immediately prior thereto and who was subject to the provisions
of Article 64A of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Merit
System", shall become an officer or employee either of the Maryland
Tax Court or of the State Department of Assessments and Taxation
as the case may be and shall continue to be subject to all the rights
and privileges as well as to the duties and responsibilities of said
Article 64A.
Sec. 3 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1959.

AN ACT to add new Section 105A to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "Hours and Days of Sale", to follow immediately after Section
105 thereof, to provide for hours and days of sale of alcoholic
beverages BY A CLASS D "ON SALE" LICENSEE AND CER-
TAIN CLASS B "ON SALE" LICENSEES in Wicomico County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 105A be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bev-
erages", sub-title "Hours and Days of Sale", said new section to
follow immediately after Section 105 thereof, and to read as follows:
105A. In Wicomico County notwithstanding any other provisions
of this sub-title licensees under this Article shall not sell any alco-
holic beverages between the hours of 1:00 A. M. and 6:00 A. M., and
shall not sell any alcoholic beverages at any time on Sundays. OF
THIS SUB-TITLE, THE HOURS DURING WHICH THE PRIVI-
LEGE CONFERRED BY A BEER OR BEER AND LIGHT WINE
CLASS B (ON SALE) HOTEL AND RESTAURANT LICENSE
AND A BEER OR BEER AND LIGHT WINE CLASS D (ON
SALE) GENERALLY LICENSE MAY BE EXERCISED, SHALL
BE FROM SIX O'CLOCK A. M. TO ONE O'CLOCK A. M. ON
THE DAY FOLLOWING, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, IN-
CLUSIVE; AND FROM SIX O'CLOCK A. M. TO TWELVE
O'CLOCK MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY; AND AT NO OTHER
TIMES.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1959.
