and the individuals presently holding those positions shall serve on
the Committee until their successors in those positions assume their
respective offices. The remaining four members of the Committee
shall serve for a term of six years, except that with respect to the
initial appointment, two such members shall serve for a period of
four years.
THE COMMITTEE SHALL MEET AT SUCH TIMES
AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF ITS
DUTIES BUT IN NO EVENT LESS THAN QUARTERLY. The
members of the Committee shall serve without compensation, but
shall be entitled to be reimbursed for travel and other expenses
necessarily incurred in the performance of their duties; such ex-
penses shall be paid by the Workmen's Compensation Commission
out of funds to be appropriated for that purpose.

(b) The Workmen's Compensation Commission shall employ a
qualified Rehabilitation Counselor and the necessary clerical staff
to review all reports of permanent-partial and permanent-total dis-
ability. It shall be the duty of the Rehabilitation Counselor and his
staff to select from all such reports all cases where vocational re-
habilitation appears to be appropriate and to refer all such cases to
the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation within sixty days after
the date of injury, or as soon thereafter as is possible under the
circumstances. Upon request of the Division of Vocational Rehabil-
itation, the Workmen's Compensation Commission shall make avail-
able a complete medical evaluation, including prognosis of work
potential, of any worker whose case has been referred by the
Commission. The salaries of the Rehabilitation Counselor and his
staff and all necessary expenses incurred in the furnishing of sup-
plies, furniture and office space shall be paid by the Workmen's
Compensation Commission out of funds to be appropriated for that
purpose.

(c) The medical consulant CONSULTANT to the Division of Voca-
tional Rehabilitation, acting through the Injured Worker's

Rehabilitation Committee, may advise the Workmen's Com-
pensation Commission at any time as to the effectiveness of the
current treatment being given or as to any additional treatment
which may be needed, with respect to injured workers who have
been referred by the

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1960.
