7. TO IMPORT SMALL QUANTITIES OF OYSTERS OF ANY
VARIETY NOT TO EXCEED 50 BUSHELS TO BE USED FOR
EXPERIMENTAL PURPOSES.
8. TO MAKE UNIFORM THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF PAT-
ENT TONGS IN WATERS WHERE PATENT TONGS ARE OR
MAY BE AUTHORIZED TO BE USED,, EXCEPT THAT ANY
PERSON USING ANY SIZE OR WEIGHT OF PATENT TONGS
ON THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SECTION IS PERMIT-
TED TO CONTINUE TO USE SAID TONGS.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstances is held
invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applica-
tions of this Act which can be given effect without the invalid pro-
vision or application, and to this end the provisions of this Act are
hereby declared to be severable.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, whether enacted prior to this session
of the General Assembly or enacted at this session of the General
Assembly, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby
repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1960.

CHAPTER 110
(Senate Bill 122)
AN ACT to add new Section 80A to Article 35 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Evidence", sub-title "Public
Statutes, Office Copies and Official Certificates", to follow imme-
diately after Section 80 thereof, to provide for the evidentiary
effect in courts of the State of copies or photostats of books,
papers, entries, records or proceedings of the Department of Tide-
water Fisheries.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 80A be and it is hereby added to Article 35 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Evidence", sub-
title "Public Statutes, Office Copies and Official Certificates", to fol-
low immediately after Section 80 thereof, and to read as follows:
80A. A copy or photostat of any books, papers, entries, records
or proceedings pertaining to the Department of Tidewater Fisheries,
when certified to by the Chairman of the Commission of Tidewater
Fisheries as being correct, shall be received as evidence in any court
