ment), title "Motor Vehicles'', sub-title "Civil Liability", providing
for service of process by the Secretary of State against non-resident
defendants who were residents of the state at the time the accident
occurred but who move to another state within 3 years from said
accident.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 113 (h) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Civil
Liability", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

113.

(h) Residents who leave Maryland.—A resident of Maryland who
is involved in an accident in this State, and who removes himself to
another state within [six months] three (3) years of such accident,
thereby appoints the Secretary of State of Maryland his agent and
may be sued by substituted service of process, on the Secretary of
State as in the case of a non-resident, as heretofore provided by this
sub-title.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 68
(House Bill 128)

AN ACT to add Section 115A to Article 77 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Public Education", sub-title
"Teachers' Retirement System", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 115 thereof, providing for supplementary retirement payments
to certain retired teachers in Washington County by the Board of
County Commissioners of that County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 77 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Public Educa-
tion", sub-title "Teachers' Retirement System", said new section to be
known as Section 115A, to follow immediately after Section 115 of
said Article, and to read as follows:

115A. The County Commissioners of Washington County shall
have the power and authority, in their discretion, to pay to any school
teacher of Washington County who is retired from teaching service
and who is receiving any retirement benefits under the provisions of
the State Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Maryland,
where such benefits in the aggregate are less than $150.00 per month,
