CHAPTER 473
(Senate Bill 391)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 103(c)
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment) , title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registra-
tion—Titling", dispensing with hearings for minors where manda-
tory revocation of an operator's or chauffeur's license is involved.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 103 (c) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1956 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Adminis-
tration-Registration-Titling", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

103(c). Authority of Department to refuse, cancel, suspend or re-
voke license.

Conviction of offense for which mandatory revocation is required.
—The Department shall refuse or revoke the license of an operator
or chauffeur without preliminary hearing upon a showing by its
records or other sufficient evidence that the applicant or licensee has
been convicted of an offense for which mandatory revocation of li-
cense is required and shall refuse, revoke or suspend without pre-
liminary hearing for not less than thirty days as provided in § 102(b)
of this article [provided, however, that when a minor is notified of
such refusal, suspension or revocation, said notice shall advise the
licensee of his right to a hearing under §103(d) of this article].

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 474
(Senate Bill 405)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, sub-section (a)
of Section 22 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Juries", sub-title "Qualifications and
Selection of Jurors", and to add a new sub-section (e) to said
section, Article and title of said Code, said new sub-section to
follow immediately after sub-section (d) thereof, increasing the
compensation paid to jurors in Harford County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That sub-section (a) of Section 22 of Article 51 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Juries", sub-title
"Qualifications and Selection of Jurors", be (and it is hereby repealed
