CHAPTER 418
(Senate Bill 526)
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Harford County
to levy and pay an additional sum to certain teachers of Harford
County who have been or will foe retired on pension.
Whereas, Certain teachers of Harford County have been or will
be retired on pensions which are entirely inadequate; now therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Harford County are hereby
authorized to pay to the following named teachers who are now
retired on pension: Mary K. Smith, Cassie A. Lochary, Anna W.
Lochary, Hannah S. Parker, Charlotte E. Carroll, Margaret L. Graf-
ton, Mary G. Phelps, Eva B. Little, Esther O. J. Smith, Bessie Kelly,
Mary W. Twining and Dennis W. Noble, a sum sufficient to make the
total amount of said pension received by each named teacher the sum
of One Hundred and Twenty fifive TWENTY-FIVE Dollars ($125.00)
per month When added to the pension paid them by the State Teachers
Retirement System. The intention of this Act is to enable the County
Commissioners of Harford County to guarantee unto said teachers in
retirement a total pension of One Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars
($125.00) each per month from the State of Maryland and Harford
County.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 419
(Senate Bill 545)
AN ACT to add new Sections 211, 212 and 212A to Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St.
Mary's County", to follow immediately after Section 210 thereof
and to be under the new sub-title "Taxicabs", relating to the
regulation of taxicabs in said County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 211, 212, and 212A be and they are hereby added
to Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "St. Mary's County", to follow immediately after
Section 210 thereof and to be under the new sub-title "Taxicabs",
to read as follows:
