Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition, as amended from time
to time) shall be complied with.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds of the
NOTES, CERTIFICATES OR bonds, authorized by this Act, shall be
expended solely for and in accordance with the following schedule of
enumerated constructions, additions, improvements and repairs to
the Allegany County school system.
1. Allegany High School—New classrooms, convert present gym-
nasium into library and classrooms—New gymnasium, lockers,
showers—Site development (extend field, fence, wall).
2. East Side School—Classrooms, lavatories, health room—Field
improvements (Thruway).
3. Valley High School—Field expansion, fence, drainage.
4. Mt. Savage High School—Bleachers and ground improvements.
5. Eckhart Elementary—Ground improvements.
6. Bruce High School—Bleachers.
7. Central Elementary School—Lighting improvements.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds from the sale
of such NOTES, CERTIFICATES OR bonds shall be placed in a
special fund by the County Treasurer and shall be paid out by him
only on warrants from the Board of Education of Allegany County
in accordance with the schedule enumerated in Section 2 herein, for
construction of new schools, and additions, improvements and re-
pairs to the existing schools in Allegany County.
Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That for the purpose of paying
the interest on said NOTES, CERTIFICATES OR bonds and for re-
deeming said bonds THE SAME as they mature, the County Com-
missioners of Allegany County shall annually levy such tax upon the
assessable property of said county as may be necessary to pay the
annual interest on said NOTES, CERTIFICATES OR bonds and to
redeem said bonds THE SAME as they become due until all of said
NOTES, CERTIFICATES OR bonds shall have matured and been
redeemed. The taxes so levied shall be collected in the same manner
as other taxes are levied and collected in said county.
Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
