Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel
County", sub-title "Roads", sub-heading "Beverley Beach Roads
and Taxing District", as the same was enacted by Chapter 373 of
the Acts of 1953 of the General Assembly of Maryland and to
enact in lieu thereof a new Section 478A, to stand in the place of
the section so repealed, relating to the expenditure of funds for
public improvements within the Beverley Beach Roads and Taxing
District.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 478A of the Code of Public Laws of Anne Arundel
County (1947 Edition), being Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Anne Arundel County", sub-title "Roads",
sub-heading "Beverley Beach Roads and Taxing District", as the
same was enacted by Chapter 373 of the Acts of 1953 of the General
Assembly of Maryland, be and it is hereby repealed and that a new
Section 478A be and it is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to stand in
the place of the section so repealed, to read as follows:

478A. (1) The proceeds of the Beverley Beach Wharf Tax levied
under the provisions of Section 478 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition) and all funds allocable to
the Beverley Beach Roads and Taxing District under the provisions
of Sub-section (2) (b) of Section 390 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition) may be used by the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County in the following
manner and for the following purposes:

(a)  For any of the purposes set forth in said Sections 390 and 478
and with the right to use the proceeds of either fund for the purposes
designated for the other fund interchangeably;

(b)  For the construction of sidewalks and drains within the said
Beverley Beach Roads and Taxing District.

(c)  For the construction and maintenance of additional wharves
adjoining, adjacent to or accessible from the Beverley Beach Roads
and Taxing District established by Section 475 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition). To acquire
land for the construction of such wharves and for roads leading
thereto and for automobile parking lots adjacent thereto. All wharves
constructed hereunder shall be subject to the same limitations as to
use and subject to the same regulations governing the use thereof
as are set or established under Section 479 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition).

(2) All unexpended balances remaining in either of the said funds
at the end of each year shall be carried over from year to year and
accumulated for and used for the purposes set forth herein and
to be so shown in the Annual Budget for Anne Arundel County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
