hereby added to said section to be known as sub-section (k), to follow
immediately after sub-section (j) of said section and all to read as
follows:

6. Monetary limitations of jurisdiction.

(c) Three hundred dollars in certain counties.—In all cases of
the types mentioned in sub-section (a) of this section which involve
amounts not exceeding $300.00, trial magistrates of Allegany, Anne
Arundel, Calvert, Carroll [ , ] and Frederick [and Harford] counties
shall have civil jurisdiction.

(k) Harford County.Trial magistrates of Harford County shall
have civil jurisdiction in all cases hereinbefore mentioned in this
section, instituted after June 1, 1957, and involving amounts not
exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00).

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 328
(Senate Bill 529)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 78 and
93 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Charles County", sub-titles "County Commis-
sioners", and "County Treasurer", respectively, said sections hav-
ing been last amended by Chapter 532 of the Acts of 1955, relating
to the cost of legal advertising and tax sale's advertising in Charles
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 78 and 93 of Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Charles County", sub-titles
"County Commissioners", and "County Treasurer", respectively, said
sections having been last amended by Chapter 532 of the Acts of
1955, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

78. The County Commissioners of Charles County shall, in each
and every year, as soon as practicable after the annual levy, con-
tract for publishing, for the period of one year from the first day
of July in the year in which said contract shall be made, all matters
required by law to be published by said County Commissioners,
except such matters relating to the registering of voters and to elec-
tions, as may be required by law to be published by the Supervisors
of Elections of said county, or such other registration and election
officials as may be charged with the duty of publishing such regis-
