(d) Violation of this section shall be a misdemeanor, and shall,
upon conviction, be punishable by a fine of not less than $50. nor more
than $100. Failure to file the report required herein shall be punish-
able by a fine not to exceed $25.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 292
(House Bill 632)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 358 of
Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition) title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "Roads," relating
to certain damage or injury to roads, bridges, boundaries and marks
in Queen Anne's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 358 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"Roads," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
358. If any person shall alter, change, obstruct or encroach upon
any road in Queen Anne's County, or cut down, destroy or injure
any bridge, causeway, boundary, mark or direction therein [or there-
on] he shall, on conviction thereof, [in the circuit court for said
county] be fined [, at the discretion of the court,] not exceeding
fifty dollars [, to be paid to and accounted for by the supervisor of
the district in which the damage may be done].
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
