Magistrates System", changing the hours for the magistrate sitting
in Crisfield and Princess Anne in Somerset County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (19) of Section 100 of Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1956 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace",
sub-title "Trial Magistrates System", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
100.
(19) Somerset County.—There shall be two trial magistrates one
of whom shall sit at Crisfield and the other at Princess Anne, and
each of said magistrates [shall sit from 9 A. M. to 12 o'clock noon
Monday to Friday, inclusive, and] shall receive an annual salary of
twenty-four hundred dollars ($2,400). The magistrate sitting at
Princess Anne shall sit from 9 A. M. to 12 o'clock noon Monday to
Friday, inclusive, and the magistrate sitting at Crisfield shall sit from
2 P. M. to 5 P. M., Monday to Friday, inclusive.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 77 of
Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Howard County", sub-title "County Commissioners", as said sec-
tion was amended by Chapter 379 of the Acts of 1949, relating to
the salary of the County Attorney in Howard County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 77 of Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Howard County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
as said section was amended by Chapter 379 of the Acts of 1949, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
77. The County Commissioners of Howard County are hereby
authorized and directed to employ at [an annual salary of one thou-
sand and six hundred dollars per annum,] such annual salary as they
may set, payable quarterly, one attorney-at-law, to act for and repre-
sent as legal adviser, the Board of County Commissioners of Howard
County, the Board of School Commissioners of Howard County, the
County Treasurer and Collector of Howard County, the County
