(1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Natural Resources",
sub-title "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish", sub-heading "Regu-
lations for Taking of Game and Fresh Water Game Fish in Non-
Tidal Waters", providing for the time specified for open season and
the size and creel limits specified for game and fresh water fish;
and correcting errors therein.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 206, 207, 208 (a) and 209 of Article 66C of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title
"Natural Resources", sub-title, "Birds, Game and Inland Water Fish",
sub-heading "Regulations for taking of Game and Fresh Water Game
Fish in Non-Tidal Waters", be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

206.  The open seasons for the taking of game and fresh water fish
in non-tidal waters shall be set by regulation of the Game and Inland
Fish Commission under authority conferred upon it by Section
[5] 115 of Article [99] 66C within the prescribed dates listed below.
The Game and Inland Fish Commission shall adopt and publish
seasons on game and fresh water fish annually on or before October
25 for the ensuing calendar year.

Kind of Fish                               Open Season

Bass (largemouth bass, small-
mouth bass)                          June 1 to November 30, inclusive.

Pike, Pickerel                           June 1 to November 30, inclusive.

Walleye                                   April 1 to November 30, inclusive.

Rockfish (striped bass)             January 1 to December 31, inclusive.

Trout (brook, brown, rainbow) [April 1 to September 15, inclusive.]

April 15 to March 14, inclusive.

Shad, hickory shad and herring March 1 to September 15, inclusive.

Suckers, catfish, carp, eel, gud-
geon; all species of sunfish,
including bluegills, rock bass
(commonly known as red
eye), fallfish, crappie, perch
(white and yellow)                January 1 to December 31, inclusive.

207.   It shall be unlawful for any person to fish for or catch any
fish of any species in any of the non-tidal waters or streams which
have been stocked with trout by the Game and Inland Fish Commis-
sion or Federal Government between the hours of 8:00 P. M. and 5:30
A. M. standard time during the open season for taking trout, except as
provided by Commission Regulation.

[It shall be unlawful for any person to fish for, take or catch fish of
any species from or in the Savage River or the Little Savage River
and their tributaries in Garrett County and Evitt's Creek and its
tributaries in Allegany County except during the trout season.]

White shad, hickory shad, and herring, may be caught or taken only
with rod, hook and line using bait or lure except as otherwise pro-
vided.

208.   (a) It shall be lawful to fish with rod and line, not to exceed
two in number and not more than two hooks to each line, provided
artificial lures or plugs with multiple or gang hooks are considered
