or incidental costs in connection therewith as is permitted under
Section 162D1 of this Article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 224
(Senate Bill 419)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 5 of Article 38 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956 Supple-
ment), title "Fines and Forfeitures", said new sub-section to be
known as sub-section (e) to follow immediately after sub-section

(d)  thereof, relating to the payment of a portion of the fines im-
posed and recognizance forfeited in Kent County to the Court Li-
brary of said County, and providing that the sum herein provided
shall be in addition to the amount provided in Section 131A of
Article 15 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930).

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section 5 of Ar-
ticle 38 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1956
Supplement), title "Fines and Forfeitures", said new sub-section to
be known as sub-section (e) to follow immediately after sub-section
(d) thereof, and to read as follows:

(e)    In Kent County, if in any year the said payments to the
court library of one-half the fines imposed and recognizances for-
feited is less than six hundred dollars ($600.00), the county com-
missioners thereof shall pay to the Clerk of the Court, for the use of
the library, whatever amount may be necessary to bring to six hund-
red dollars ($600.00) in the aggregate the total amount to be paid
to said library during that year under the provisions of this section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the sum herein provided
shall be in addition to the annual levy provided for in Section 131A
of Article 15 of the Code of Public Local Laws as enacted by Chap-
ter 102 of the Acts of 1949.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
