(Senate Bill 359)
AN ACT to repeal Section 392 of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "South East River", repealing a section in
Queen Anne's County relating to the naming of a branch of the
Chester River.
Whereas, This section re-names a part of the Chester River,
called South East Creek, to be known as "South East River" and
has never been carried out and should be repealed as obsolete.

That Section 392 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County" sub-title
"South East River", be and it is hereby repealed.
Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 220
(Senate Bill 373)
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Howard County,
in their discretion, to borrow Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($500,000.00) upon the faith and credit of said Howard County
for the construction and equipping of a high school at Glenelg, in
said Howard County, and to issue bonds therefor and to levy taxes
to pay the principal and interest of such bonds.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Howard County be and they are
hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to issue at
one time, or from time to time, upon the faith and credit of said
County, bonds in an amount or amounts not exceeding in the aggre-
gate Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) for the purpose
of constructing and equipping a high school at Glenelg, in said
Howard County.
