CHAPTER 217
(Senate Bill 354)

AN ACT to repeal Section 423 of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Winchester Harbor", repealing an obsolete
section re-naming a branch of the Chester River in Queen Anne's
County.

Whereas, This Section provides for the re-naming of a branch of
the Chester River, known as Winchester Creek, to be "Winchester
Harbor", and having never been carried out, should be repealed as
obsolete.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 423 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"Winchester Harbor", be and it is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 218

(Senate Bill 357)

AN ACT to repeal Section 36 of Article 18 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's
County", sub-title "Broad Harbor", repealing an obsolete reference
to the naming of Broad Harbor in Queen Anne's County.

Whereas, This section provides for the re-naming of an estuary
of the Chesapeake Bay in Queen Anne's County formerly known
as "Broad Creek", and it is unnecessary to retain this section in the
local laws of the county.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 36 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title
"Broad Harbor", be and it is hereby repealed.
