pensaries", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

154.

(j) (Kent County.) In Kent County, in addition to the other powers
listed in this section, the Board shall have power to appoint a manager
of said dispensaries, who shall hold office for a term of six (6) years,
beginning June 1, 1947, and shall furnish to the said Liquor Control
Board a good and sufficient bond in a penalty amount to be fixed
by the said Liquor Control Board for the faithful performance of
his duties as Manager. Said Manager shall receive as compensation
for his services an annual salary of not less than [Two Thousand
Dollars ($2,000.00)] Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) nor more
than [Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00)] Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000.00), and in addition the Liquor Control Board shall from
time to time have authority to reimburse said Manager for expenses
incurred in the performance of his duties. The Manager, with the
consent and approval of the Liquor Control Board, shall appoint
such other employees as may be necessary to conduct such County
Liquor Dispensaries or branch dispensaries, fix their compensation
at not less than $25.00 nor more than $75.00 per week and require
such bonds for the faithful performance of their duties as the said
Board may in each case determine.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 182

(House Bill 385)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 594 of
Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Cumulative
Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments", sub-title "Sabbath
Breaking", relating to the operation on Sunday of bowling alleys,
tenpin alleys, and duckpin alleys in Montgomery County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 594 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Cumulative Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Sabbath Breaking", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:

594. It shall be lawful for any bowling alley, tenpin alley, or duck-
pin alley located within the fifth precinct of the thirteenth election
district, the twenty-third precinct of the thirteenth election district,
