Violation of this section shall be deemed a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be punishable by a fine of One Dollar ($1.00) to One
Hundred Dollars ($100).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 167
(House Bill 26)
AN ACT to add Section 190 (e) to Article 66½ of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title
"Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said new section to fol-
low immediately after Section 190 (d) thereof, providing for the
method of turning left from certain highways or streets.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 190 (e) be and it is hereby added to Article 66½ of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) title "Motor Vehicles",
sub-title "Operation of Vehicles Upon Highways", said new section
to follow immediately after Section 190 (d) thereof and to read as
follows:
190 (e) At any intersection where traffic is restricted to one direc-
tion on one or more of the roadways, the driver of a vehicle intending
to turn left at any such intersection shall approach the intersection
in the extreme left hand lane lawfully available to traffic moving
in the direction of travel of such vehicle; and after entering the
intersection the left turn shall be made so as to leave the intersection,
as nearly as practicable, in the left-hand lane lawfully available to
traffic moving in such direction upon the roadway being entered.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
