the public health and safety, and being passed upon a yea, and nay
vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of
the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 153

(Senate Bill 311)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 17 to 25 inclusive, of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition), being Article 1
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany
County", sub-title "Boundary Line", said sections concerning the
boundary line between Allegany and Garrett Counties and now be-
ing obsolete.

Whereas, Sections 17 to 25 inclusive of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition) concern the boundary
line between Allegany and Garrett counties; and

Whereas, These sections were enacted from 1890 to 1906 and are
now obsolete; and

Whereas, The only boundary provisions which are necessary are
those being in Section 26 of the Allegany County Code; now, there-
fore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 17 to 25 inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Allegany County (1955 Edition), being Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Boundary Line", be and they are hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
