To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:
I, Blanchard Randall, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
hereby certify, That at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland, on November 6, 1956, an Act known as Chapter 499 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1955, was submitted
to the voters of Worcester County, Maryland, for their adoption or
rejection under the provisions of Chapter 499 of the Acts of 1955,
said Act being as follows:
"An Act to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), said new section to be known as
Section 609A and to follow immediately after Section 609
thereof, relating to the exhibition of baseball and motion pic-
tures in Worcester County at certain times on Sunday, except
for Ocean City in the case of motion pictures."
AND I DO certify, that at said election 2,050 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 499 of the Acts of 1955, and 1,430
votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 499, and a
majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter
499 of the Acts of 1955, the said Act has been ratified by the voters
of Worcester County, Maryland.
