To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, Blanchard Randall, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
hereby certify, That at the General Election held in the State of
Maryland on November 6, 1956, an Act known as Chapter 328 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1955, was submitted
to the voters of Garrett County, Maryland, for their adoption or re-
jection under the provisions of Chapter 328 of the Acts of 1955, said
Act being as follows:

"An Act to add Section 5 to Article 94 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition) to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 4 thereof, authorizing day-light saving time in Garrett
County".

and I DO certify, that at said election 3,210 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 328 of the Acts of 1955, and 3,329
votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 328, and a
majority of the votes being cast against the adoption of Chapter 328
of the Acts of 1955, the Act has therefore failed of ratification.
