1696                       Certificates of Referenda

1955, Ch. 135—Leonardtown

The Commissioners of Leonardtown

Leonardtown, Maryland

February 7, 1957

Executive Department

Annapolis

Maryland

Attention Mr. James P. Brock

Dear Mr. Brock:

In reply to your letter of January 31, 1957, please be advised that
no election has been held by the Commissioners of Leonardtown in
connection with Chapter 135 of the Acts of 1955. No date is contem-
plated for this election.

It is the opinion of the Commissioners in view of recent decisions
of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, that no legislative authority is
required as originally contemplated by this Act.

Very sincerely yours,

LOKER, WIGGINTON and LOKER
