(E) NOTHING IN THIS SUB-TITLE SHALL BE CONSTRUED
TO PROHIBIT THE TAKING OF SOFT SHELL CLAMS IN THE
SHOAL WATERS OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY BORDERING
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY; PROVIDED THAT THE TAKING
OF SAID SOFT SHELL CLAMS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY
THE REGULATIONS SET FORTH ELSEWHERE IN THIS SUB-
TITLE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 15 (a)
of Article 78B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition
and 1956 Supplement), title "Racing Commission", relating to
racing licenses for the Pocomoke Agricultural Fair Association,
Inc.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 15 (a) of Article 78B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Racing Commis-
sion", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

15.

(a) Authority to issue; limitations.—In addition to licensing rac-
ing, as hereinbefore provided, the Racing Commission is authorized
to issue licenses to the following organizations: Agricultural and
Mechanical Association of Washington County, Cumberland Fair
Association, Inc., Pocomoke Agricultural Fair Association, Inc.,
Harford County Fair Association, Inc., Southern Maryland Agricul-
tural Fair Association of Prince George's County, and the Maryland
State Fair and Agricultural Society, Incorporated. Such licenses shall
permit the holders to conduct a race meeting or meetings with betting
privileges, not to exceed twelve days for any one organization in
any calendar year, provided such meetings are held in connection
with or for the benefit of bona fide county fairs or agricultural ex-
hibitions and are held in compliance with all the provisions of this
Article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
