BINGO, RAFFLES AND CARNIVALS", THIS ACT SHALL BE
CONTINUED IN EFFECT IN ALL RESPECTS AS IT HAS BEEN
IN EFFECT SINCE JUNE 1, 1957. IF A MAJORITY OF THE
VOTES CAST ON THIS QUESTION SHALL BE CAST "AGAINST
CONTINUATION OF BINGO, RAFFLES AND CARNIVALS",
THIS ACT SHALL BE NULL AND VOID AND OF NO FURTHER
EFFECT WHATSOEVER ON THE FIFTEENTH DAY FOLLOW-
ING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF THE VOTES CAST IN
WICOMICO COUNTY ON SAID QUESTION.

CHAPTER 844
(House Bill 560)

AN ACT to add a new Section 50 (5) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "General Provisions on Issue of Licenses", said new sec-
tion to follow immediately after Section 50 (4) of said Code, re-
lating to the number of licenses that a person, partnership, firm
or corporation may have an interest in, in Prince George's County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement), title "Alcoholic
Beverages", sub-title "General Provisions on Issue of Licenses", said
section to be known as Section 50 (5), to follow immediately after
Section 50 (4), and to read as follows:

50 (5). In Prince George's County, no person, partnership, firm
or corporation, shall have any interest in more than one license,
whether held or controlled by direct or indirect ownership, by stock
ownership, interlocking directors or interlocking stock ownership,
or in any other manner, directly or indirectly, it being the intention
of this section to prohibit any such person, firm, partnership or corpo-
ration from having any interest, directly or indirectly, in more than
one license.
THIS SECTION SHALL NOT APPLY TO LICENSES
ISSUED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTIONS 19 (g) 2
OR SECTION 24 OF THIS ARTICLE OR TO CLUB LICENSES.
IF THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS FOR PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY, AFTER CONDUCTING A HEARING, DE-
TERMINES THAT ANY PERSON, PARTNERSHIP, FIRM OR
CORPORATION HAS ANY INTEREST IN MORE THAN ONE
LICENSE ISSUED IN CONTRAVENTION WITH THE PROVI-
SIONS ABOVE, SAID BOARD SHALL REVOKE ANY LICENSE
THERETOFORE ISSUED TO A LICENSEE WHERE SUCH CON-
FLICT OF INTEREST IS DETERMINED.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
