division thereof, NOR SHALL THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUB-
TITLE APPLY TO ANY SCHOOL BUS OPERATED BY, FOR OR
ON BEHALF OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND, ANY POLITICAL
SUB-DIVISION THEREOF, OR ANY PRIVATE OR PRIVATELY
OPERATED SCHOOL OR SCHOOLS.

426. RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS WITH OTHER STATES.
THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUB-TITLE SHALL BE SUBJECT
TO SUCH RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS AS MAY BE ENTERED
INTO BETWEEN THE PROPER OFFICIALS OF THIS STATE
AND ANY OTHER STATE.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed to prevent or interfere in any way with the collection of
any taxes legally due and payable under the said sub-title "Motor
Carriers Reciprocal Act" and any such tax shall continue to be due
and payable following the effective date of this Act in all respects as
if this Act had not been passed.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That any and all credits, appro-
priations, office furniture and records, and properties and materials
of any and all kind which are in the possession of, owned by, or
credited to the Comptroller of the State of Maryland for use by or on
behalf of the enforcement and administration of the sub-title "Motor
Carriers Reciprocal Tax" repealed by this Act, shall be in all respects
transferred to the administration of the sub-title "Road Tax on
Motor Carriers" herein enacted.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That any officers or employees
of the State of Maryland with duties concerning the said sub-title
"Road Carriers Reciprocal Tax" which is repealed by this Act, shall
be transferred to the administration of the sub-title "Road Tax on
Motor Carriers" herein enacted with no diminution in compensation,
rights or privileges, as state employees.

Sec. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July OCTOBER 1, 1957.

(House Bill 501)

AN ACT to add new Section 321A to Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments,"
sub-title "Gaming," to follow immediately after Section 321 there-
of, relating to and legalizing games of bingo and raffles and
carnivals by certain organizations in Wicomico County; MAKING
THIS ACT EFFECTIVE ON JUNE 1, 1957 BUT PROVIDING
