C.   To produce and present to the public, all manner of shows,
exhibitions, and amusements which are or may be produced at a
theatre, music hall, or elsewhere within enclosures or in the open.

D.   To publish authentic information regarding the history of
Charles County, Maryland, as well as to point out the advantages
which Charles County has to offer as a place of abode and business
activity in the modern day.

E.   To bring to the citizens of Charles County a review of the
historical past of Charles County by organizing, promoting, ar-
ranging, producing, managing, advertising and publicizing enter-
tainments, including without excluding others, fairs, circuses, conven-
tions, exhibitions, tournaments, parades, athletic meets, theatricals,
moving pictures and radio shows, programs and performances."

Said payment, however, to be subject to Fifth paragraph of said
Charter which provides as follows:

"FIFTH: The Corporation shall have no capital stock and no
dividends or pecuniary profits shall be declared to the members
thereof. If, at any time, there shall be any net earnings of the Cor-
poration, such net earnings shall be used first to reimburse and save
harmless the Board of County Commissioners of Charles County
for any loans, advances or liability on credit guarantees made by
said Board of County Commissioners to the Corporation and any
additional net earnings shall be paid by the Corporation, in its dis-
cretion, to one or more Charles County charitable or non-profit or-
ganizations, contributions to which qualify for exemption under
Federal and State income tax laws, but at no time and under no
circumstances shall any part of the net earnings, if any, of the Cor-
poration inure to the benefit of any private member thereof."

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 813
(House Bill 821)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Charles County in its discretion to borrow a sum not
exceeding Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($400,000.00) upon
the faith and credit of the County to purchase property and erect
thereon a new hospital ADDITIONAL HOSPITAL FACILITIES
in Charles County ON OR ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT HOS-
PITAL SITE.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of County Commissioners of Charles County be and
