COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL MAKE NO APPROPRIA-
TION AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 77A OF THIS ARTICLE
FOR ANY VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY IN ANY SUCH ELEC-
TION DISTRICT.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That before any tax shall be
levied in the Second and Eighth NINTH Election Districts under
the provisions of this Act, the question of such levy shall first be
submitted to the legally qualified voters of BOTH the Second and
Eighth NINTH Election Districts at the regular polling place at a
special election for all legally qualified voters on a day in August,
set by the County Commissioners in the year 1957. There shall be
printed on the ballot to be used at said election the title of this
Act and underneath said title, on separate lines, a square or box
to the right of and opposite the words "For Fire Tax", and a corre-
sponding square or box to the right of and opposite the words
"Against Fire Tax", so that the voters shall be able to designate by
a cross-mark in the proper square or box his or her decision for or
against said fire tax. If the majority of the votes cast IN BOTH
THE SECOND AND NINTH ELECTION DISTRICTS in said elec-
tion shall be "For Fire Tax", then said tax shall be levied and paid
over in accordance with the provisions of this Act, but if a majority
of votes cast shall be "Against Fire Tax", then this Act shall be of
no effect IN THE SECOND AND NINTH ELECTION DISTRICTS
and shall be null and void.

SEC. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT BEFORE
ANY TAX SHALL BE LEVIED IN THE EIGHTH ELECTION
DISTRICT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT, THE
QUESTION OF SUCH LEVY SHALL FIRST BE SUBMITTED TO
THE LEGALLY QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE EIGHTH ELEC-
TION DISTRICT AT THE REGULAR POLLING PLACE AT A
SPECIAL ELECTION FOR ALL LEGALLY QUALIFIED VOTERS
ON A DAY IN AUGUST, SET BY THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS IN THE YEAR 1957. THERE SHALL BE PRINTED

THE VOTES CAST IN THE EIGHTH ELECTION DISTRICT IN
SAID ELECTION SHALL BE "FOR FIRE TAX'" THEN SAID
TAX SHALL BE LEVIED AND PAID OVER IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISION OF THIS ACT, BUT IF A MAJORITY
OF VOTES CAST SHALL BE "AGAINST FIRE TAX", THEN
THIS ACT SHALL BE OF NO EFFECT IN THE EIGHTH ELEC-
TION DISTRICT AND SHALL BE NULL AND VOID.

Sec. 3 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.
