age which bears a reasonable relation to the existing hazard or risk
of loss.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 97
(Senate Bill 30)

AN ACT to add new Sections 68 (c), 70 (k) and 73 (e) and (f) to
Article 48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and
1956 Supplement), title "Inspections", sub-title "State Tobacco
Authority", said new sections to follow immediately after Sections
68 (b) 70 (j) and 73 (d) thereof, amending the law as to the
sale of tobacco on the loose leaf auction markets and as to the regu-
lation of such sales by the State Tobacco Authority with respect
to the keeping and maintenance of records of sales of tobacco by
licensees thereunder; the revocation, refusal or suspension of li-
censes; the registering and bonding of weighers and the arrange-
ment and display of baskets of tobacco for sales.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 68 (c), 70 (k) and 73 (e) and (f) be and they are
hereby added to Article 48 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition and 1956 Supplement), title "Inspections", sub-title "State
Tobacco Authority", said new sections to follow immediately after
Sections 68 (b), 70 (k) and 73 (d) thereof, all to read as follows:

68.

(c) Every licensee under the provisions of this sub-title shall keep
and thereafter maintain accurate records of all sales of and transac-
tions in tobacco. Any violation of this sub-section or any alteration
of said records shall be punished as provided in Section 76 of this
sub-title.

70.

(k) The Authority shall prescribe the conditions under which
baskets of tobacco may be arranged and displayed on the sales floor
of warehouses.

73.

(e) The Authority may, after final disposition of AFFIRMING any
order of revocation, refusal or suspension of licenses against a
licensee, MAY thereafter, FOR THE NEXT SELLING SEASON,
refuse to issue, A SUBSEQUENT LICENSE TO SUCH LICENSEE,
