represents. The presiding officer and secretary of such convention
shall sign the certificate, giving their respective places of residence.
They shall acknowledge the certificate before an officer duly au-
thorized to take acknowledgments, who shall append a certificate of
such acknowledgment thereto.

(d)  Primary Meetings. The certification of nomination for any
primary meeting shall contain the names of each person nominated,
the address of his residence, the nature of his business and the name
of the office for which he has been nominated. It shall designate in
not more than one word the party or principle which the primary
meeting represents. The presiding officer and secretary of such
primary meeting shall sign the certificate giving their respective
places of residence. They shall acknowledge the certificate before an
officer duly authorized to take acknowledgments, who shall append a
certificate of such acknowledgment thereto.

(e)  Petition. The certificate of nomination of any person nom-
inated by petition shall contain the name of the person so nominated,
the address of his residence, the nature of his business and the name
of the office to which he has been nominated.

70.   Retention for Two Years. The Secretary of State and the
several Boards of Supervisors of Elections shall cause to be retained
in their respective offices for two years all certificates of candidacy
and of nomination filed with them under the provisions of this
Article. All such certificates shall be open to public inspection.

71.   Certifications to Supervisors of Elections. Not less than sixty
days before an election to fill any public office, the Secretary of State
shall certify to the Supervisors of Elections of each county and of
the City of Baltimore, within which any of the voters may by law
vote for candidates for such office, the name, party affiliation and
residence of each person nominated for such office, as specified in
the certificates of nominations filed with the Secretary of State.

72.   Publication of Nominations. (a) General Provisions. Within
not less than two or more than ten days before an election to fill any
public office, the Supervisors of Elections of each county and in the
the City of Baltimore shall cause to be published by one insertion in
two or more newspapers within such county, and in all the daily
papers published in said city which will publish the same at the cur-
rent rate of commercial advertising, the nominations to office which
have been filed with or certified to them under the provisions of this
Article. If in any county there be but one newspaper published,
publication in such one newspaper shall be sufficient. Such publica-
tion shall be made in newspapers devoted to the dissemination of
general news; and the two newspapers selected if possible, shall
represent the political parties which at the last preceding election
cast the largest and next largest number of votes. The list of nomina-
tions published by the Supervisors of Elections shall be arranged, so
far as practicable in the order and form in which they are to be
printed upon the ballots.

(b) Delegates to Conventions. The names of the several candidates

for nomination or for delegates, members of State and local central

committees, of a political party, shall be published seven WITHIN
