(e) Rejection by the Senate. In the event that the person ap-
pointed by the Governor is rejected by the Senate, the Governor shall
appoint another person from the list of candidates originally sub-
mitted by the State Central Committee. If said original list is
exhausted by subsequent appointments of the Governor and Senate
rejection of all such appointees, the Governor shall call upon the
State Central Committee for the County or City, as the case may be,
for a supplemental list of at least four names as provided in sub-
section (d) hereof, from which list the Governor shall make succes-
sive appointments until the original and supplemental list are
entirely exhausted.

2.    Oath, Organization, Tenure. Before entering upon the duties
of their office, said Supervisors of Elections shall each take and sub-
scribe to the oath prescribed in Article 1, Section 6 of the Constitu-
tion, which oath shall be taken before and duly recorded by the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for the county or of the Superior Court of Bal-
timore City, as the case may be. Within twenty days after their
appointments become effective, the Supervisors of Elections for each
county and for the City of Baltimore, respectively, shall organize
as a Board by electing one of their members as president. They shall
each hold office for two years and until their successors are appointed
and qualified, unless sooner removed, for good cause shown. The
Governor shall have power so to remove them at any time upon
written charges, after notice and hearing. Each Board shall have
the right and authority to procure an official seal with which to
authenticate its official papers and documents.

3.   Compensation, (a) Amounts. Each member of the Boards of
Supervisors of Elections of the several political sub-divisions of the
State shall receive an annual salary according to the following
schedule:

(b)  Allegany County: $1,080.

(c)  Anne Arundel County: $800 $1200.

(d)  Baltimore City: $5,000?; THAT SUCH SALARIES SHALL
BE ESTABLISHED IN THE ANNUAL ORDINANCE OF
ESTIMATES BUT SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN AS PRO-
VIDED HEREIN.

(e)  Baltimore County: $3,000. THE CHAIRMAN OF THE
BOARD SHALL RECEIVE SUCH ANNUAL COMPENSA-
TION AS MAY BE INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY BUDGET
FROM TIME TO TIME BUT, IN NO EVENT, TO BE LESS
THAN $4,000 PER ANNUM. THE ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
OF THE BOARD SHALL RECEIVE SUCH ANNUAL COM-
PENSATION AS MAY BE INCLUDED IN SAID BUDGET
FROM TIME TO TIME BUT, IN NO EVENT TO BE LESS
THAN $3,000 PER ANNUM.

(f)   Calvert County: $200.

(g)  Caroline County: $300.
(h) Carroll County: $400
$500.
(i) Cecil County: $300 $600.
(j) Charles County: $250.
