(House Bill 962)
AN ACT to add new Section 82A to Article 48A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Insurance", sub-title
"General Provisions", said new section to follow immediately after
Section 82 thereof, providing that any insurance company issuing
a contract of insurance covering the pledged property of a borrower
and supplying such contract to the lender must also supply the
owner of the pledged property a certificate of insurance setting
forth all of the pertinent points of the contract.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 82A be and it is hereby added to Article 48A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Insurance",
sub-title "General Provisions", said new section to follow immediately
after Section 82 thereof, and to read as follows:
82A. Any stock insurance company, mutual insurance company,
reciprocal exchange or inter-insurer, and "Lloyd's" and any other
type of insurer issuing a contract of insurance covering the pledged
property of a borrower and supplying such contract to the lending
institution shall simultaneously issue to the owner of the pledged
property a certificate of insurance, setting forth the coverages pro-
vided in the contract delivered to the lending institution, the exact
amount of premiums charged for each coverage provided in the con-
tract, and the effective date and the expiration date of such contract.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 80 of
Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "State Accident Fund",
relating to employers withdrawing from the Fund.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 80 of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "State
Accident Fund", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
