CHAPTER 730
(House Bill 933)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 47 (e) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supplement),
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County Treasurer", and
to add new Section 47 (r) to said Article and sub-title (1951
Edition), said new section to follow immediately after Section
47 (q) thereof; raising the salary of the Treasurer of Kent County
to be elected in November, 1958.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 47 (e) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County
Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and that new Section 47 (r) be and it is hereby added to said
Article and sub-title (1951 Edition), said new section to follow imme-
diately after Section 47 (q) thereof, and both to read as follows:
47.
(e) [Kent and] Worcester [counties] County.—The county treas-
urer of [Kent and] Worcester [counties] County shall [each] receive
an annual salary of $2,400.00.
(r) The County Treasurer of Kent County shall receive an annual
salary of $3,600.00.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not be effec-
tive for the present term of office of the Treasurer but shall apply
to the Kent County Treasurer elected in November, 1958.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 731
(House Bill 939)
AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 8 of Chapter 266 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1955, said section relating to
the time at which projects contained in the State Bond Construc-
tion Act of 1955 must be placed under contract, insofar as the pro-
visions of said section relate to an item contained in said Act for
the State Military Department and relating to the construction of
an Armory to be located within the Baltimore Metropolitan Area;
and to extend, for two years, the period during which the said
project may be placed under contract.
