CHAPTER 713
(House Bill 874)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 47 (i)
of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1956 Supple-
ment), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County Treas-
urer", and to add new Section 47 (r) to said Article and sub-title
(1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), providing for the compen-
sation of the county treasurer of Talbot County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 47 (i) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "County Commissioners", sub-title "County
Treasurer", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and that a new Section 47 (r) be and it is hereby added to
said Article and sub-title (1951 Edition and 1956 Supplement), and
all to read as follows:

47. Salary of county treasurers.

(i) Caroline, Queen Anne's [Talbot] and Wicomico counties.—
The county treasurers of Caroline, Queen Anne's [, Talbot] and
Wicomico counties shall each receive an annual salary of $3,000.00.

(r) Talbot County.—The county treasurer of Talbot County shall
receive an annual salary of $3,500.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 1959.

CHAPTER 714
(House Bill 876)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (f)
and 40 (g-a) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1956 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact", sub-title "State's Attorney", providing for the salary and
secretarial allowances of the State's Attorney for Talbot County.
